【基本信息】
為桃金娘科植物丁香的干燥花蕾(丁香)經(jīng)蒸餾所得的揮發(fā)油（古代則多為母丁香所榨出之油）。為淡黃或無色得澄明油狀物，有丁香的特殊芳香氣。露置空氣中或貯存日久，則漸漸濃厚而色變綜黃。不溶于水，易溶于醇、醚或冰醋酸中。

【產(chǎn)品應(yīng)用】
1、食用丁香油：用于烹調(diào)調(diào)香，可直接食用。
2、藥用丁香油：暖胃，溫腎,治胃寒痛脹;口臭，牙痛;用于腸胃多氣、絞痛，消化不良，惡心與嘔吐；風濕痛，神經(jīng)痛，還用于防腐和口腔消毒。
3、香料用丁香精油：用于香熏療法，濃度很高，食用可致命，請勿嘗試！嚴格來說丁香油又可分為丁香葉油、丁香莖油、丁香花蕾油。在香料工業(yè)中，一般說丁香油大都為丁香葉油。
4、工業(yè)上主要用于配制牙膏用和皂用香精或用作合成香蘭素的原料
